ICAD #15

Stamp the ship image (Graphic 45) on an index card and mask.  Stamp the shell image (Tin Can Studio) and rub a tissue over the images to blur them.  Stamp the pier and compass images.  All images were stamped with Faded Jeans Distress Oxide.

Tag #147 and Tag Tuesday Challenge

On a bristol tag create a background using Fireworks Sprays in rainbow colors and the Watercolor Smooshing Technique.  Let the tag dry between colors.  The colors used were Lady Bug, Tangelo, Dandelion, Bahama Blue, Grape Jelly and Pear Tart.  All the stamping was done with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Stamp the letters (Dylusions Stamps) down the side of the tag.  Stamp the toucan and mask it off.  Stamp the floral and leaf stamps repeatedly.

This tag was entered into the Tag Tuesday Challenge anything goes.  This challenge theme is broad and I can enter it many times.  

One Little Craft Tag Challenge #141

Paint a piece of vintage text page with pink acrylic paint and let dry.  Then adhere to a chipboard tag and trim to fit.  Stamp the heart image and mask then stamp the rest of the images (Dina Wakley Stamps).  All the stamping was done with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Color the images with Dina Wakley Scribble Sticks and blend with water.  

One Little Craft Tag Challenge #136

Paint a watercolor tag with blue acrylic paint and let dry.  Stamp the sentiment stamp (Invoke) on the bottom of the tag and mask off.  Using masks, stamp the floral image (My Favorite Things) several times. All images were stamped with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Accent flowers with acrylic paint in fine liner bottles.  Let it dry.  

One Little Craft Tag Challenge #126

Adhere wrapping paper to a chipboard tag.  Stamp all the images on bristol paper with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Mask the female figure and stamp the swirls on her head for hair.  All images are from Dylusions Stamps.  Cut out and adhere to the tag.

Stamp image (Viva Las Vegas Stamp) and statement (Paperartsy) with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Mask images.  With a stencil (Dylusions) and Scribble Sticks and color the background.  Color around the images with Scribble Sticks. Activate the scribble sticks with water and let dry.

Stamp image (Viva Las Vegas Stamps) on a watercolor tag with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Mask image to protect it when creating the background.  Cover the tag with distress stain, let dry.  Through a Dina Wakley Stencil spray distress stain and let dry.  Through a generic stencil spray Recollection Spray Ink and let dry. Stamp word with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Embellish with washi tape.

Stamp image (Viva Las Vegas Stamps) with Archival Ink Jet Black on a manila tag.  Mask image and then stencil tag with Recollections Ink Spray and a stencil.  Let dry.  Create a watercolor wash over the tag with watercolor crayons.  Stamp sentiment with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Embellishment with washi tape.  

One Little Craft Tag Challenge #5

On a watercolor tag, stamp the image (Viva Las Vegas Stamps) with Archival Ink Jet Black and mask it.  With a stencil and Distress Markers create the background.  Blend with water and let dry.  Stamp the quote of scrapbook paper and adhere to the tag.  

The quote is "Many would have turned rogue if they knew how."

One Little Tag Craft Challenge #292

On a shipping tag, spray Carved Pumpkin Tim Holtz Spray Stain and let dry.  Mask the center of the tag and spray Black Soot Tim Holtz Spray Stain and let dry.  Stamp images (Art C stamps) in Archival Ink Jet Black.  

One Little Tag Craft Challenge #236

On a shipping tag create ink blowing techinque using two colors of Dr. Ph Martin's Hydrus Inks.  Let dry.   Stamp main inmage(Dylusions Stamps) and mask then stamp the line design(Dylusions Stamps). Use Archival Ink Jet Black for all stamping.   Stamp quote(Funny Bones) on a shipping label and adhere to tag.

One Little Tag Craft Challenge #127

Stamp images on a manila tag using Archival Ink Jet Black.  Mask as necessary.  Color with Crayola Markers.  Using a water color crayon, color on a non porous surface and then spray with water.  Using a paint brush paint a faint wash of blue around the images.  Let dry.  Stamp the sentiment with alphabet stamps (Brand unknown) with Archival Ink Jet Black.   

One Little Tag Craft Challenge #122

Spray a manila tag with fresh water, while still wet pounce bingo marker daubers on the tag in two colors.  Let dry.  Stamp Flower Image (My Favorite Things) in Archival Ink Jet Black.  Mask as necessary.  Stamp "May Day" sentiment using alphabet stamps (Manufacturer unknown) and Archival Ink Jet Black.   

Bingo Daubers make great cheap art supplies.  At the dollar store you can get one or two for a dollar.  They are vibrant colors and work very similar to watercolor.  I got the idea to use them from Tim Holtz Stains which have a dauber as well. 

One LIttle Tag Craft Challenge #117

The challenge for this week on the One Little Tag Craft Challenge is adding fiber.  I don't often use fiber in my art so I have been struggling to keep up with this challenge.  I thought the rope from this stamp set qualified as fiber.  I know it is a stretch but hey I am an artist. 

Clean a stencil by pressing the wet paint a manila tag.  This will create a reverse ghost image.  Let dry.  All images are from Stencil1 and are stamped with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Stamp the star and anchor images first, then mask off using post-it notes before stamping rope image.  

One Little Tag Craft Challenge #76

This tag uses stencils and acrylic paint in a different way.  When every I paint with acrylic paint I like to have a layer of gesso to prime the base (in this case a manila tag) so that less acrylic paint is needed and the paint is more predictable. 

A manila tag was covered with Gesso.   Two colors of Claudine Hellmuth Studio Acrylics were applied to gessoed tag with a scrap of cardboard to give it texture.  Colors are Pastel Yellow and Purple Palette.  Claudine Hellmuth Studio Acrylics Smidge of Blue was applied over a mask from the Dylusions  the Suits stencil.  Images from Sideshow Stamps were stamped inside the hearts with Archival Ink Jet Black.  The stencil part was used as a way to mask off the image.  Pieces of decorative tape were applied to tag.

A Dina Wakley stencil was sprayed with glimmer mist, was printed on to a manila tag.  Once dry, images were stamped with Archival Ink Jet Black.  A mask was used on the face, so that images would appear behind the face.  All images are from Cherry Pie Stamps.
