One Little Craft Tag Challenge #153, Tag Tuesday and Your Next Stamp Challenge

Paint a mixed media tag with orange acrylic paint and let dry.  Tear out a strip of green decorative paper and adhere to the tag.  Stamp the bird and flower images (Recollections) with Archival Ink Jet Black on a circle piece of cardstock.  Color with inktense pencils and activate with water.  Let dry.  Adhere die cut circle of decorative paper and then adhere the bird circle to the tag.

This tag was the fourth tag in the One Little Tag Challenge theme of Orange.

This tag was created for the Your Next Stamp Challenge for the lay out.

It was also entered into Tuesday Tag Challenge theme Animals.  

Tag #147 and Tag Tuesday Challenge

On a bristol tag create a background using Fireworks Sprays in rainbow colors and the Watercolor Smooshing Technique.  Let the tag dry between colors.  The colors used were Lady Bug, Tangelo, Dandelion, Bahama Blue, Grape Jelly and Pear Tart.  All the stamping was done with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Stamp the letters (Dylusions Stamps) down the side of the tag.  Stamp the toucan and mask it off.  Stamp the floral and leaf stamps repeatedly.

This tag was entered into the Tag Tuesday Challenge anything goes.  This challenge theme is broad and I can enter it many times.  

One Little Craft Tag Challenge #92

On a watercolor tag, apply scribble sticks in an ombre pattern and activate with water.  Dina Wakley Scribble Sticks are a new product similar to NeoClassic II.  Stamp the narwhal image (Recollections Stamps) repeatedly with Archival Ink in Jet Black.  Stamp the statement with Archival Ink in Jet Black.  Adhere sequins.

On a watercolor paper tag, stamp the image (Viva Las Vegas Stamps) with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Around the image create a background with the watercolor smooshing technique using watercolor crayons.  Let dry.  Stamp phrase with letter stamps (Recollections) and Archival Ink Jet Black.

One Little Craft Tag Challenge #54

On a water color tag, paint 2/3 of tag with blue watercolor.  Let dry.  Paint next layer covering about half of the tag with blue watercolor.  Let dry.  Paint another layer of blue watercolor on the bottom third of the tag.  Let dry.  Stamp air balloon (Recollections) with Recollections Ombre Ink in blue and cut out.  Adhere to tag with foam tape.  Adhere statement cut from a magazine.

On a watercolor tag, sprinkle Kool Aid powder and activate with water.  Let dry.  Stamp the first layer of the layering flower stamp (Hampton Arts) with VersaMagic Ink and then stamp the next layer with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Stamp the flourish (Recollections) and word (Hero Arts) with Archival Ink Jet Black.

Paint a chipboard with gesso and let dry.  Create texture with embossing paste through a stencil and let dry for 24 hours.  Paint tag with orange acrylic paint (Dylusions) and let dry. Drip yellow ink down the tag and let dry.  Stamp all images with Archival Ink Jet Black.  The legs image is from Dylusions Stamps and the letters are from Recollections Stamps.

Stamp all images on a watercolor tag with Archival Ink Jet black.  The face is a Jane Davenport stamp and the mandalas are from Recollections.  Color with Mermaid Markers and blend with water.

On a manila tag, stamp script (A Stamp in the Hand) and mandala (Recollections) with Memento Ink in three colors.  Stamp sentiment (Dylusions) with Archival Ink Jet Black on a piece of paper and adhere to tag.  Embellish with rhinestones.

On a watercolor tag, create a background by coloring stripes with watercolor crayons and blend with water.  With a stencil create a ghosting effect.  Let dry.  Stamp the images (Dylusions) and the word (Recollections) with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Color with watercolor crayons and a waterbrush.

Adhere napkin using Napkin Applique Technique to a shipping tag.  Let dry.  On top of the tag, apply tissue paper using Tissue Paper Texture Technique and let dry.  White wash the tag with gesso.  Let dry.  Stamp images and sentiment with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Stamp companies are face(Dina Wakley), designs(Recollections) and sentiment(Unity).  Color female image with color pencils.

Using a roller stamp (Recollections) roll two colors of distress ink using the roller fade out technique.  Stamp phrase and butterfly (Tim Holtz) with Archival Ink Jet Black.

On a shipping tag, apply torn pieces of masking tape to create texture.  Paint with buttercream paint in two colors.  Let dry.  Stamp images(Recollections) in Archival Ink Jet Black on white tissue paper.  Adhere to tag and let dry.  Adhere the intelligent sticker.

Color a tag with watercolor crayon and activate with water.  Let dry.  Stencil Chevron(Tim Holtz) with purple acrylic paint.  Let dry.  Stamp all images with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Sentiment is from Tim Holtz, manin image is from Stampington and the sun design is from Recollections.

Apply decorative napkin to shipping tag using napkin applique technique and let dry.  Stamp decorative elements(Recollections) with Archival Ink Jet Black.  On decorative paper stamp sentiment(Tim Holtz) with Archival Ink Jet Black. Cut into a banner shape and apply to tag.  

One Little Tag Craft Challenge #164

On a shipping tag apply strips of washi tag without trying to line them up.  Stamp heart images on tissue paper with Archival Ink Jet Black and adhere to tag.  

This tag was a reaction to the massacre in Florida in a gay bar.  A simple journal tag because the grief was too deep.  

One Little Tag Craft Challenge #157

On a manila card, stamp Ikat pattern stamp(Recollections) with Archival Ink Jet Black.  On red tissue paper, stamp the roses image(Stencil1) and the Jolly Rogers(Sweet Pea Stamps).  Crumple up the tissue paper and then smooth out.  Adhere tissue paper to decorative tag, leave some wrinkles to create texture.  Rub silver watercolor on the dagger part of the image.  Emphasis skull by applying dimensional magic.  Let dry.

Spray manila tag with clean water and sprinkle blue raspberry Kool Aid Drink on top of wet tag.  Let dry.  Stamp word with alphabet stamps (Recollections) and Archival Ink Jet Black.  Punch hand images from a dictionary page and adhere to the tag.  Doodle lines between words and hands. 

One LIttle Tag Craft Challenge #117

The challenge for this week on the One Little Tag Craft Challenge is adding fiber.  I don't often use fiber in my art so I have been struggling to keep up with this challenge.  I thought the rope from this stamp set qualified as fiber.  I know it is a stretch but hey I am an artist. 

Clean a stencil by pressing the wet paint a manila tag.  This will create a reverse ghost image.  Let dry.  All images are from Stencil1 and are stamped with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Stamp the star and anchor images first, then mask off using post-it notes before stamping rope image.  

One Little Tag Craft Challenge #112

 

Today the musical artist Prince died.  His music has been part of the soundtrack of my life.  As a teenager I was into alternative music and his fusion of rock, R&B, jazz and synthesized music was amazing.  The song Starfish and Coffee was sort of an anthem for me.  The idea of a young girl who did not fit in with everyone else and was teased for it resounded with the experience I had in school.  This tag was made in his honor.

Spread several colors of acrylic paint on a non stick craft sheet.  Mist with water. Smoosh manila tag into the paint, making sure to cover the entire tag.  Let it dry.  Stamp script stamp (A Stamp in the Hand) over the acrylic paint using Archival Ink Jet Black.  Stamp quote on handmade paper with the same ink.  Tear out each word individually.  Spray a puddle of Dylusions Spray in Crushed Grape on a non stick craft sheet.  Spray stamped pieces of paper with quote on it and then dip edges in the purple puddle.  Let dry.  Adhere to tag.
