One Little Craft Tag Challenge #119

Create a background on a watercolor tag using two colors of acrylic paint and cling wrap.  The technique was Acrylic Paint and Cling Film Technique.  Let dry.  Stamp the script stamp (A Stamp in the Hand) and the single flower repeatedly on the tag in Archival Ink Jet Black.  Stamp the focal image (Artist Outpost)

This tag was inspired by Split Coast Stampers challenge to try a new technique.  I have used this technique before but it is a good one to go back to and use on this tag.  .  

One Little Craft Tag Challenge #105

Drag the Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide pad along the side of the manila tag, using direct to paper technique.  Stamp the script stamps (A Stamp in the Hand) repeated with Distress Oxide in Worn Lipstick.  Splatter water on the tag to create watermarks.  With Broken China Distress Oxide create splatters using the watercolor smooshing technique.  Let dry.  Stamp images (Echo Park) in Archival Ink Jet Black.  

One Little Craft Tag Challenge #82

On a watercolor tag, create a background with Ken Oliver Color Bursts using the watercolor smooshing technique.  Let dry.  Stamp the script stamp (A Stamp in the Hand) repeatedly on tag.  Stamp the flower image (Unity) several times on bristol paper with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Color with Dina Wakley Scribble Sticks and blend with a waterbrush.  Cut out and adhere two of them to the tag.  Adhere one to the tag with foam tape.

On a watercolor tag create a back ground with Ken Oliver Color burst and a stencil using the Watercolor Pigment Stencil Technique.  Let dry.  Stamp on to tag the figure image, wave image and script stamp with Archival Ink Jet Black. Run a waterbrush over the figure to blend Color Burst.  Let dry.  Apply washi tape.

On a watercolor tag create an ombre look using the watercolor smooshing technique with watercolor crayons.  Let dry.  Stamp script background (A Stamp In the Hand), facial stamps (Jane Davenport) and sentiment with Archival Ink Jet Black.

On a watercolor tag, create a background with Kool Aid Watercolor technique and let dry.  Stamp main image (Hero Arts) and script (A Stamp In The Hand) with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Paint with inexpensive watercolors and let dry.   Embellish with several types of washi tape and ticket stub.

On a watercolor tag, create a background using Kool Aid like a watercolor pigment.  Let dry.  Stamp script (A Stamp In the Hand), Telephone (Unity) and sentiment (Unity) with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Embellish with washi tape and ticket stubs.

On a manila tag, stamp script (A Stamp in the Hand) and mandala (Recollections) with Memento Ink in three colors.  Stamp sentiment (Dylusions) with Archival Ink Jet Black on a piece of paper and adhere to tag.  Embellish with rhinestones.

On a watercolor tag, blend distress oxide inks in two colors.  Stamp on tag with script (A Stamp in the Hand) with water and heat set.  Stamp doily (Waffle Flower) and sentiment (Dylusions) with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Embellish with sequins.

Paint gesso on a chipboard tag and let dry.  Emboss with Recollections Embossing Paste and a Crafter's Warehouse stencil.  Let set for 24 hours.  Paint with Mustard Seed Distress Paint and let dry.  Dry brush Walnut Stain Distress Paint over the tag and let dry.  Stamp the tag with script (A Stamp in the Hand) and Archival Ink Jet Black.  Dry brush gesso over kraft cardstock and let dry.   Stamp sentiment (Hampton Arts) on a with Archival Ink Jet Black.  

One Little Craft Tag Challenge #8

On a watercolor tag, create a background with Ken Oliver Color Bursts and the Watercolor Pigment Dry/Wet Technique. Let dry.  Stamp the script (A Stamp in the Hand) with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Die cut the cherry blossoms from kraft paper and then enhance with pastel pencils.  Adhere to the tag.

Ken Oliver calls this background technique the sprinkle and spritz technique.

Adhere scrapbook paper to a tag with glue.  Let dry.  Apply masking tape to paper and then pull up to create texture.  Paint the tag with Golden Acrylic Fluid Paint and let dry.  Stamp thistle image(A Stamp In The Hand) with white acrylic paint repeatedly.  Let dry.  Apply washi tape.

Adhere book text to a shipping tag.  Paint a thick layer of acrylic paint and then comb it with a cut up gift card.  Let dry.  Create Mixed Media Morsel Painted Circles text paper.  Let dry.  Tear and adhere to shipping tag.  Stamp flower image(Hero Arts) with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Stamp bird image(A Stamp in the Hand) on tissue paper with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Adhere to tag and let dry.  

One Little Tag Craft Challenge #114

 The background was created by spraying left over mica spray (Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist) with water then mopping it up with a manila tag.  Let that dry.  Stamp images with Archival Ink Jet Black.  The female image is from Dylusions, the script stamp is from a Stamp in the Hand Stamp and manufacturer of the netting image is unknown.  Wrap paper ribbon embellishment around tag and adhere.  String charm on twine and then wrap around tag and adhere to the back.  

One Little Tag Craft Challenge #112

 

Today the musical artist Prince died.  His music has been part of the soundtrack of my life.  As a teenager I was into alternative music and his fusion of rock, R&B, jazz and synthesized music was amazing.  The song Starfish and Coffee was sort of an anthem for me.  The idea of a young girl who did not fit in with everyone else and was teased for it resounded with the experience I had in school.  This tag was made in his honor.

Spread several colors of acrylic paint on a non stick craft sheet.  Mist with water. Smoosh manila tag into the paint, making sure to cover the entire tag.  Let it dry.  Stamp script stamp (A Stamp in the Hand) over the acrylic paint using Archival Ink Jet Black.  Stamp quote on handmade paper with the same ink.  Tear out each word individually.  Spray a puddle of Dylusions Spray in Crushed Grape on a non stick craft sheet.  Spray stamped pieces of paper with quote on it and then dip edges in the purple puddle.  Let dry.  Adhere to tag.

Paint a manila tag with gesso.  Let dry.  Cut up piece of colorful paper into different size triangles.  I used a magazine picture but in her video Cat Hand used gelli prints.  Adhere to the tag in a mosaic design.  Cover with gel medium to secure all pieces. Let Dry.  Stamp Script stamp (A Stamp in the Hand Stamps) and Archival Ink Jet Black over the mosaic.  Apply Tim Holtz Tissue tape.  Stamp Seashell (Judikins) and quote (Invoke Stamps) in Archival Ink Jet Black on handmade paper.  Adhere to tag. 

One Little Tag Craft Challenge #109

 

A colorful magazine picture was adhered to a manila tag and painted over with Gesso.  Let dry.

Once the Gesso was dry the script image (A Stamp In The Hand) and flower (Recollections Stamps) were stamped repeatedly using Archival Ink Jet Black.  Apply ripped pieces of washi tape (Recollections).  Stamp sentiments (Hero Arts) with Archival Ink Jet Black on handmade paper and cut out.  Apply to tag.
