Lost Coast Postcard

Cut mixed media paper to 3.5 inches by 5 inches.  Blend Broken China Distress Oxides on the paper and let dry.  Stencil stars (Dylusions) on the postcard with Fossilized Amber Distress Oxides and let dry.  Stamp the image (Lost Coast Designs) with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Cut out vintage text tiles and adhere them to boarder of the postcard.  Emphasis with a Stabilo Marks All Pencil and blend with water.  Let dry.  Stamp starburst (Judikins) with Faded Jeans Distress Oxides.

Stamp the face (Jane Davenport) on a watercolor tag in Archival Ink Jet Black.  Scribble watercolor crayons randomly over the tag and activate with water.  Let dry.  Stamp star burst image (Judikins) with silver watercolor crayons.  Repeat multiple times.   Stamp the birds and word (Unknown) with Archival Ink Jet Black.

One Little Craft Tag Challenge #165

On a bristol tag, blend three colors of Oxide Ink using the Distress Blending Technique.  Spray with pearlized water and heat set.  Stamp the herringbone pattern (Lawn Fawn) on the blue section with Broken China Oxide Ink.  Stamp the  floral image (Lawn Fawn) and the star burst (Judikins) in Fired Brick Oxide Ink.  Stamp the boat image (Viva Las Vegas Stamps) and the saying with Archival Ink Jet Black.

ICAD #14

Stamp the images (Tim Holtz) on an index card with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Color the dogs with watercolor crayons and activate with water.  Paint around the images with blue watercolor paint.  Let dry.  Stamp the star burst (Judikins) with blue watercolor crayons using the Watercolor Stamping Technique.

One Little Craft Tag Challenge #36

On a watercolor tag, create a background using the Watercolor Smooshing Technique and watercolor crayons.  Let dry.  Stamp shell image (Judikins) with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Stamp circle stamp with watercolor crayons. Embellish tag with washi tape.  Stamp word with Archival Ink Jet Black.  

One Little Tag Craft Challenge #154

This week's challenge for One Little Tag Craft Challenge is C or Sea.  I have accepted the additional challenge of creating without words as a focal image.  I struggle with not including words.  When the challenge was first presented to me I was very resistant.  Since resistance is a defense mechanism, I was curious what caused this reaction in me.  I think it has to do with the fear that without words people will not understand my message.  So I have accepted the challenge.  This is my first tag in that challenge.  

Cover a manila tag with metallic blue children's paint, before it dries splatter with clear water and then absorb the water with a paper towel.  This removes the paint and creates spots.  Let dry.  With an old toothbrush splatter with silver watercolor paint.  Let dry.  Stamp seashell (Judikins) and the scroll(Inkadinkado) with Archival Ink Jet Black.

One Little Tag Craft Challenge #110

Paint a manila tag with gesso.  Let dry.  Cut up piece of colorful paper into different size triangles.  I used a magazine picture but in her video Cat Hand used gelli prints.  Adhere to the tag in a mosaic design.  Cover with gel medium to secure all pieces. Let Dry.  Stamp Script stamp (A Stamp in the Hand Stamps) and Archival Ink Jet Black over the mosaic.  Apply Tim Holtz Tissue tape.  Stamp Seashell (Judikins) and quote (Invoke Stamps) in Archival Ink Jet Black on handmade paper.  Adhere to tag. 

One Little Tag Craft Challenge #16

 

White gesso was applied on to a manila tag.  Blue acrylic paint was dry brushed over gesso and then gesso was stenciled over blue paint with a Dylusions stencil.  Images were stamped with Archival Ink Jet Black  Flowers are from Judikins, flourish is from Stampington and Happiness is from Hero Arts. 

One Little Tag Craft Challenge #6

This tag was made for January 6th, 2016 my aunt Nancy's birthday. The quote is from Annie's Song by John Denver. 

Turquoise acrylic paint was spread on a manila tag and then using a Dylusion stencil and baby wipe to create the ghosting technique. Using archival ink jet black to stamp images. The seashell is from Judikins. The crystal embellishments  were applied.
