Do both first and second generation stamping. Stamp quote with Archival Ink Jet Black. The alphabet stamp set is from Wordsworth. The quote is from Pablo Neruda.
First and second generation stamping is when you ink a stamp and then stamp it and before you reink it again you stamp it again creating a fainter image. Its is a way to get more out of your stamps and ink.

One LIttle Tag Craft Challenge #117
The challenge for this week on the One Little Tag Craft Challenge is adding fiber. I don't often use fiber in my art so I have been struggling to keep up with this challenge. I thought the rope from this stamp set qualified as fiber. I know it is a stretch but hey I am an artist.
Clean a stencil by pressing the wet paint a manila tag. This will create a reverse ghost image. Let dry. All images are from Stencil1 and are stamped with Archival Ink Jet Black. Stamp the star and anchor images first, then mask off using post-it notes before stamping rope image.

One Little Tag Craft Challenge #112
Today the musical artist Prince died. His music has been part of the soundtrack of my life. As a teenager I was into alternative music and his fusion of rock, R&B, jazz and synthesized music was amazing. The song Starfish and Coffee was sort of an anthem for me. The idea of a young girl who did not fit in with everyone else and was teased for it resounded with the experience I had in school. This tag was made in his honor.
Spread several colors of acrylic paint on a non stick craft sheet. Mist with water. Smoosh manila tag into the paint, making sure to cover the entire tag. Let it dry. Stamp script stamp (A Stamp in the Hand) over the acrylic paint using Archival Ink Jet Black. Stamp quote on handmade paper with the same ink. Tear out each word individually. Spray a puddle of Dylusions Spray in Crushed Grape on a non stick craft sheet. Spray stamped pieces of paper with quote on it and then dip edges in the purple puddle. Let dry. Adhere to tag.

One Little Tag Craft Challenge #111
Harriet Tubman has always been a heroine for me. Today it was announced she would be the first Female on US paper currency and the first person of African Descent on any US Currency. I am excited because I hope this means generations of Americans with be curious to find out all the great things this one woman was able to accomplish. This tag was a simple one because there is not way a tag could include all the accomplishments this woman has done and all the inspiration she has provided to me. Every time I look up into the stars I think of how she used the North Star to lead people to their freedom. It is believed she led over 300 people out of slavery. Amazing.
Green acrylic paint was spread on a manila tag with a gift card. Let dry. Stamp image of Harriet Tubman (Post Script Studio) and the sentiment with Archival Ink Jet Black.
Unfortunately Postscript Studio is no longer manufacturing stamps. This stamp is on a stamp block with 3 other images, of Einstein, Billie Holiday and Frida Kahlo. All are people I admire. I originally bought this stamps in 2004 but lost it in Hurricane Katrina. I watched for it on Ebay for years after the hurricane. I wanted it back. In 2014, it finally was on Ebay I bought it out right and did not just bid on it I wanted it that badly. A small victory over a natural disaster.

The main image was created from a prompt of Cat Held's Mixed Media Morsels and inspired by a friend, Laurelle. Here is the video of Cat Held demoing the technique.
