ICAD #5 and 2 Crafty Critter Crazies Challenge

On an index card, scribble yellow and orange watercolor crayon and activate.  Let dry.  Using Archival Ink Jet Black stamp the bird image (Inkadinkado) and the sentiment (Tim Holtz) on the card.  Using the Watercolor Stamping Technique, color red watercolor on script stamp (Stampington) and activate with water and then stamp.  Let dry.


This ICAD was the fifth in the Daisy Yellow ICAD Challenge.

One Little Tag Craft Challenge. #253

Using Dina Wakley compass stencil and Recollections Spray Ink (Blue) create a background.  Let dry.  Sponge Dylusions Spray in Tangerine Dream over the tag.  Let dry.  Stamp all images (Post Script and Stampinton) with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Adhere rub-on letters to tag.  

One Little Tag Craft Challenge #233

On a piece of vintage text paper stencil dots(Tim Holtz) using blue acrylic paint.  Let dry and adhere to shipping tag.  Stamp flower image(Stampington) on white tissue paper and adhere to tag.  Stamp peach image repeatedly on the tag.  All stamping was done with Archival Ink Jet Black.

The last ICAD

Rub red acrylic red paint over an index card.  Stamp scroll image (Stampington) with Jet Black Archival Ink.  On pink paper, stamp face (Post Script Studio) with Jet Black Archival Ink,  Apply photo corners to index card and secure facila image.  Apply fabric tape and discover sticker.

Color a tag with watercolor crayon and activate with water.  Let dry.  Stencil Chevron(Tim Holtz) with purple acrylic paint.  Let dry.  Stamp all images with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Sentiment is from Tim Holtz, manin image is from Stampington and the sun design is from Recollections.

A watercolor wash of blue was brushed over an index card.  Let dry.  Stamp scroll image (Stampington) using a watercolor crayon in purple.  Using watercolor crayons, outline the Dina Wakley Stencil with a water color crayon.  Color in the image.  Cut out eye images from a magazine, and adhere to image.  Stamp phrase  (Tim Holtz) with archival ink.

On a shipping tag, color three colors of watercolor crayons and then using a stencil and baby wipe to create the watercolor ghosting technique.  Stamp image(Stampington) and sentiment(Tim Holtz) in Archival Ink Jet Black.

On a shipping tag, stamp script stamp(Stampington) and rose vines(Hero Arts) using Archival Ink Jet Black. Stamp butterfly image(Stampington) several times on red tissue paper and apply to tag. 

ICAD #7

On an index card color two colors of watercolor crayons and activate with water.  Color a script stamp (Stampington) with watercolor crayons and mist with water then stamp the image.  Using a Dina Wakley Stencil of a woman, outline with water solible graphite pencil and then fill it in with Inktense black pencil.  Activate with water.  

One Little Tag Challenge #149

Paint a manila tag with purple acrylic paint, before dry stamp sequin waste stamp (Stampinton) in paint to lift off some of the paint.  Let dry.  Adhere scraps from the Mixed Media Wonky piece of text paper to tag.  With black acrylic stamp the two butterfly images (Rubber Stamp Concept).  Let dry.  Outline the images with a white Moltow Paint Pen.

Tip when using a marker of any type over acrylic paint or ink, make sure it is very very very dry.  If not then the pen will skip and get clogged.  I usually wait at least 24 hours.  

One Little Tag Craft Challenge #145

On a manila tag, stamp main focal images(Stampington) with Distress Ink Vintage Photo.  Mask.  Stamp Feather(Inkadinkado) in the same ink and mask. Stamp fleur-de-lis (unknown) in same ink and mask.  Stamp text (Rubber Soul)  in the same ink.  Using distress markers highlight areas.  With a waterbrush, activate the ink to create some blending.  Let dry.  Stamp sentiment with Archival Ink Jet Black.

One Little Tag Craft Challenge #141

I base most of my fashion taste on what doesn't itch. - Gilda Radner

This quote from Gilda Radner has always been one of my favorite.  I choose to use the quote on the tag for May 20th because this is the day Ms Radner died from breast cancer in 1989.

On a manila tag, dab purple and blue acrylic paint on a tag.  While the paint is wet, press cling film into the paint and create interesting texture.  Let set for several hours and then remove the cling film and then allow the paint to dry all the way

Stamp quote with an alphabet stamps and Archival Ink Jet Black.  Stamp daisy image around the edge of the tag with Memento Ink London Fog.  Using Dylusions Stencil, pounce black acrylic ink through the silhouette stencil.  Let dry.  Apply mini pearls to the tag.

For the benefit and enjoyment of the people - North Gate of Yellowstone Park

I saw this quote during PBS historical documentary of the US National Park Service.  In my opinion, all government should strive to embrace this quote.  

This weeks promt for The One Little Tag Craft Challenge is quotes.  I usually create my tags and then try to find a quote to match the theme.  I approached this weeks tags differently and had the quotes decided on first and then created tags to go with the quotes.  

Spray Dylusions Sprays (Cut Grass and Fresh Lime) on a non stick craft sheet and drag a manila tag through the puddle of color.  Let dry.  Stamp background design (Stampington) with Memento Ink London Fog.  Stamp the quote and cowboy (Crone's Art) a on tag with Archival Ink Jet Black.  

One Little Tag Craft Challenge #134

On a manila tag stamp Moracan Marketplace (Hero Arts) stamp in Archival Ink Jet Black).  Separate layers of a napkin and adhere printed layer to a tag. Let dry.  Stamp image of couple (Dragonfly Laser) several times on kraft tissue paper using Archival Ink Jet Black.  Cut out and adhere to tag.  Let dry.  Stamp Desire Stamp (Lost Coast Design) in same ink on to the napkin.

Using a manila tag to clean up a stencil that was covered in Glimmer Mist. Let dry. Separate layers of the napkin and adhere over tag and let dry.  Using Archival Ink Jet Black stamp script image (Stampington) over the tag.  Spray tag with glitter spray.  Adhere dictionary page to tag.   

One Little Tag Craft Challenge #131

This week's prompt for the One Little Tag Challenge is napkins.  I love using napkin as a lap in my creations.  This one has such a great design.  

This tag is an ode to Billie Holiday one of my favorite singers.  Autumn in New York is my favorite song she sings.  She put so much emotion into it.  

Adhere a book page to a manila tag.  Using Archival Ink Jet Black stamp script stamp over the book text.  Separate the layers of the napkin and then adhere the top later over the book text.  Let dry.  Stamp quote using alphabet stamps on a label.  Adhere to tag.  

One Little Tag Craft Challenge #119

Punch cherry stamps  along the bottom of a manila tag.  Adhere red cardstock to the back of the tag.  Stamp script stamp (Stampington) in two colors (Rose Bud and New Sprout) of Momento ink on tag.  Do both first and second generation stamping.  Stamp quote with Archival Ink Jet Black.  The alphabet stamp set is from Wordsworth.  The quote is from Pablo Neruda. 

First and second generation stamping is when you ink a stamp and then stamp it and before you reink it again you stamp it again creating a fainter image.  Its is a way to get more out of your stamps and ink. 

One Little Tag Craft Challenge #104 4-13-16

This tag started as a magazine collage on a manila tag. Tiny bits of a pretty magazine picture were torn up and then adhered to the tag in a random pattern to create a texture background.  Gel medium was spread over it to seal all the edges.  This was allowed to dry over night. 

Once it was dry, the image of sea shell collage (Post Script Studio) was stamped over the collage with Archival Ink Jet Black.  Focal image (Stampington) was stamped onto handmade paper with the same ink and then colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  Then cut out and adhered to tag.  Sentiment was also from a magazine and was adhered over the collage as well. 

One Little Tag Craft Challenge #86

 

Steampunk (Hamptom Arts)  image was stamped repeatedly over manila tag using Memento Ink in Espresso Truffle.  Then several shade of Distress Ink was blended over the tag.  Shades were Ground Espresso, Gathered Twigs and Tea Dye.  Water was sprayed on the top of the tag and allowed to run down the tag to create a worn distressed look.  Chancellor image (Stampington) and sentiment were stamped in Memento Ink in Espresso Truffle on kraft paper.  Images were torn out of a larger sheet.  Ground Espresso Distress Ink was used to highlight the torn edges of the kraft paper.  Kraft paper was adhered to the tag and gems were adhered to the tag.
